Pakistan. With the development and up-gradation of its infrastructure and construction of so many housing projects, the demand is ever-growing. It is the most applied and versatile technology, hence the job opportunities are also growing. Civil engineering is the backbone of developing infrastructure of a country where a Civil Engineer conceives, design, estimates, supervise construction, manage, operate, built and maintain the infrastructure of projects in Public and Private sectors. They work to make sure that the foundation for built objects ranging from buildings to runways and dams are load-bearing and solid. They ensure compliance with the design documents. Civil engineers can often manage several projects at the same time and they can balance time needs and effectively allocate resources.

Pakistan Engineering Council has granted accreditation to the Department of Civil Engineering for BS Civil Engineering program. After gaining a license, a professional engineer can seek credentialing that demonstrates his or her expertise in a Civil engineering specialty.
